BDNA Joins McAfee Security Innovation Alliance™
2010-07-13
BDNA Technopedia™, Discover™, and Normalize™ Technologies Will Make Distributed Endpoint Security Posture Information Visible to McAfee ePO Software
News Facts
- BDNA Corporation, an independent software vendor (ISV), has joined the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance program. As part of its participation in the program, BDNA is building an integration that will deliver critical endpoint security configuration information to McAfee® ePolicy Orchestrator™ (McAfee ePO™) software.
- Specifically, BDNA is leveraging BDNA IT Genome Center™ Technopedia, Discover, and Normalize technologies to deliver configuration information from distributed assets to enable the McAfee ePO platform to quickly evaluate their security posture and respond by installing the latest McAfee security agents, software updates, and malware definitions.
- BDNA plans to demonstrate the integrated solution and other BDNA IT Genome Center products, including BDNA Technopedia, BDNA Discover, and BDNA Normalize at the McAfee FOCUS 10 conference in Las Vegas, October 12-14, 2010.
BDNA Adds Value to McAfee ePO Security Management Platform
- BDNA’s IT Genome Center solution set, which includes BDNA Technopedia, BDNA Normalize, BDNA Enrich and Publish elements—strengthens McAfee ePO software by providing rich, context-aware, security configuration information from assets distributed across IT infrastructures to McAfee ePO platform users.
- Since security coverage and speed of response is essential to defend against today’s security attacks, BDNA Discover and Normalize asset information, enriched by data drawn from BDNA Technopedia, is sent immediately to the McAfee ePO software.
- Reducing the number of vulnerable assets is particularly important in dynamic enterprise computing infrastructures where new assets constantly enter and exit the sphere of management responsibility, and cyber criminals lie in wait, ready to exploit even a few seconds of vulnerability.
