Technical Account Manager (Boston, MA, Washington, DC)
The Technical Account Manager's (TAM) primary responsibility is to ensure customers' success with BDNA products. The TAM is the principal liaison between BDNA customers and BDNA's organizations for both business and technical matters. The TAM will oversee all post-sales customer activities.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a principle customer liaison and advocate.
- Promote identified best practices to help customers achieve success through the deployment and use of BDNA products.
- Manage successful installation, configuration and operation of all BDNA products.
- Provide onsite and offsite product support and services to customers.
- Ensure customers are receiving quality technical support.
- Identify opportunities for BDNA products and services within customer's organization.
- Assist with BDNA pre-sales activities where appropriate.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years directly related professional work experience.
- UNIX
- "Moderate" systems administration (file systems management, user management, scripting, etc.).
- Network configuration (interfaces, multi-homing, etc.).
- Unix tool skills (grep, awk, sed, tail, etc.).
- Linux experience a big plus.
- NETWORKING
- "Moderate" network administration (DNS, DHCP, routing, etc.).
- Strong networking knowledge (Class A/B/C networks, firewalls, NAT, private networks, etc.).
- Network tool skills (traceroute, nmap, ping, etc.).
- DATABASE
- "Moderate" database administration (space management, user management, loading, exporting, etc.).
- Strong SQL skills.
- Oracle.
- OTHER
- Data and business analysis experience involving the identification of opportunities for efficiency or effectiveness gains.
- Enterprise Program or Project management with experience working with IT and Finance Leadership.
- Ability to work effectively at both program and task level.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related technical field required.
