BDNA Solution Engineer (Mountain View, CA)
The Solution Engineer is a key technical contributor of the Professional Services Team responsible for developing the technical solution design, installing and implementing the solution, testing, delivering customer training, and providing technical support during the project phase, up to acceptance.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure the BDNA Insight Application and utilities.
- Operate, maintain and tune the BDNA Insight Application for Enterprise-wide asset discovery.
- Perform analysis on discovered asset data and identify areas where discovery can be improved or performance enhanced.
- Assist customer/user with reporting and analysis.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years experience working in Professional Services.
- Unix
- “Moderate” systems administration (file systems management, user management, scripting, etc.).
- Network configuration (interfaces, multi-homing, etc.).
- Unix tool skills (grep, awk, sed, tail, etc.).
- Linux experience a big plus.
- Networking
- “Moderate” network administration (DNS, DHCP, routing, etc.).
- Strong networking knowledge (Class A/B/C networks, firewalls, NAT, private networks, etc.).
- Network tool skills (traceroute, nmap, ping, etc.).
- Database
- “Moderate” database administration (space management, user management, loading, exporting, etc.).
- Strong SQL skills.
- Oracle experience a big plus.
- Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with a wide range of technical and non-technical personnel.
- Team player.
- Good problem solving ability.
Education:
- Bachelors degree required.
